Navy Radio Man Ernest F. Clater of Front Royal, formerly of Sperryville, the husband of Evon Clater of Front Royal recently reported to the battleship U.S.S. Iowa in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Clater, son of Mrs. Maggie Clater of Sperryville returned to active duty in March after being in the fleet reserve since being discharged from the Navy in 1979 after 23 years of service. The U.S.S. Iowa recommissioned April 28.
