Washington Homemakers to meet The regular monthly meeting of the Washington Homemakers Club will be held at the home of Liz Tole on Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Town BZA organizes The Washington Board of Zoning Appeals will have an organizational meeting on Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the court house. The BZA’s first regular meeting will be on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
Support group meets today A recently formed support group of parents and families of the mentally ill or mentally retarded meets every fourth Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. The purpose of the group is to provide mutual understanding and support. The group is fortunate to have Dr. A.C. Kiczales, a psychiatrist from Winchester, as the speaker at the meeting this evening. Band Boosters to meet The Rappahannock Band Boosters will meet on Oct. 2 in the elementary school at 7:30 p.m.
Diet classes Monday Diet Watchers classes are held each Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. in Washington Baptist Church. In addition to those who attended the Amissville class that closed last week, lecturer Joyce Wharton invites all of those interested in “getting in shape” for fall to attend.
