Apparently, there has been no pattern to the correlation of weather conditions and the changing of the tree leaves.
“We’ve had it both ways,” Stanbock said.
“In another week or so we should be able to know whether they’ll be early or late,” she said. “We sure don’t know much now” to indicate the height of the colors which normally dictates tourist traffic.
But in the meantime, for those who depend on tourist traffic and those who depend on the land for production, there’s little to do.
