Happy Birthday to my husband, Edward M. Clark. I fixed dinner, baked a birthday cake and had our family over for dinner Monday night. Our family included Mr. and Mrs. Richard Simmons, Richie Eastham, Edie Eastham, Robert Frazier, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and Amanda. Happy Birthday, Dear!
Mrs. Erma Jenkins returned home Friday night after having spent last week with her daughter and son-in-law and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler, of McLean. While there, her granddaughter, Alicia, celebrated her 18th birthday. Mrs. Jenkins’ grandson, Jeff Butler, and a friend, both of McLean, spent the weekend here and toured the Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns.
Rev. and Mrs. Stephen Scoggin and son, Benjamin, enjoyed a day of sailing in Annapolis, Md. on Saturday.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Pennington were their son, Grant Hill, of Richmond, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Morgan, of Corapeake, N.C.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lee spent Friday through Sunday in Richmond and attended the State Fair. Mrs. Lee said they really enjoyed the fair and had a great time.

Johnny Ray Pullen underwent surgery in Fauquier Hospital last week and is now home and doing fine. Those visiting him on Sunday were Jim Dwyer, Bruce Critzer, Roger Roach, Steve Critzer, Jack Jenkins and Gary and Wanda Jenkins.
Weekend guests of Mrs. Janie Pullen and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Ray Pullen and family were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Atkins and children, Cindy, Becky and Tony, and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Atkins, of Broadway.
