Guest artist Laura Crowne of Warrenton is also dancing in “Box 48” along with Julie Coon, Hunt Harris, Sheree Wagner and Sally Nash.
Lights have been designed by Betsy Toth, formerly of the Folger Theatre, who is known for her outstanding craftsmanship and imagination in theatre lighting.
“Box 48” is sponsored by RAAC. Admission is $6, $5 for RAAC members and tickets are available at the door.
Another event planned for the weekend of Oct. 19-20, is what should prove to be a big weekend in Rappahannock County.
Joining in the spirit of this year’s Sperryville Apple Harvest Festival and the annual House Tour, RAAC and Faith Mountain are co-sponsoring a regional art show on both days of the weekend.
The exhibit, from noon until 6 p.m. each day, will feature traditional and contemporary art, native and professional art, focusing on individuality of expression. The exhibit will show the work of artists from an eight-county area.
In addition to the painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography and prints included in the show, there will be a continuous video display of local performances (“Voices of Rappahannock,” “Length of Childhood” by the Last Minute Wood Company) plus live performances.
The Eclectics will be singing 1950s rock ’n’ roll and gospe l music in their clean, acapella style.
