The Administrative Board of the Methodist Church met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Ranny Aylor. Members present were Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Mrs. Lee Swindler, Rev. Merlin Shorb, Julian Brown, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Hugh Chrisman, Mrs. Jimmy Wayland and Mrs. Nina Brown.

Mrs. Catherine Brown and Mrs. Helen Coffey were co-hostesses at a dinner phrty last Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Brown. Guests included the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb and daughter, Jennifer, of Flint Hill, Will Shorb, Jr., of Layhill, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers.

Mrs. R.E. Thompsen, Mrs. Frances Tabler, Mrs. Brown Miller and Mrs. Catherine B. Wayland had dinner last Friday at Brookside in celebration of Mrs. Miller’s birthday.

Mrs. Grace Breedon and Miss Gladys Johnson, of Orange, visited friends in town on Saturday.

Mrs. Ranny Aylor, Heather Aylor and Mrs. F.D. Coffey, Jr. were among those who attended homecoming Sunday at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jack Brown was a Saturday overnight guest of Mrs. Anne Colby in Purcellville.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bolyard and family in Keyser, W.Va. Clifton Nethers, of Amissville, joined them on Sunday.

Word has been received here of the death Saturday of Mrs. Jean Bagby, of McLean.

The Quarterly Conference of the United Methodist Charge was held Sunday night at the Sperryville
