Jordan was the only Rappahannock player to score in double figures. Natalie Butler added eight points to the total.
The win Monday snapped a twogame, district losing streak. After Monday’s games, Rappahannock found itself tied for fifth place, behind district-leading and unbeaten, Strasburg and Brentsville, and behind Clarke County and Page County.
The 1985 Rappahannock Panthers got their first taste of losing a basketball game.
The Panthers ran into one of the Bull Run District’s better teams, Clarke County on Sept. 19, and dropped a 70-58 decision, despite the 35-point, game-high effort by Jordan. The senior also pulled down 17 rebounds.
But it was not enough.
The Eagles shot better than 50 percent from the field and Rappahannock managed to succeed on only 26 of its 67 shots (39 percent).
Jordan was again the only Panther to score in double figures.
“Bean” Stringfellow added nine points and Natalie Butler added six.
Jordan shot 15 of 25 from the floor and five of seven from the free throw line.
It was the second straight district loss for the Panthers.
