Homecoming and revival at Mt. Salem

Mt. Salem Baptist Church, Rt. 626, Washington, will hold homecoming services on Sept. 29. Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and a covered dish lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.

An afternoon service will begin at 2 p.m. with William Alford, pastor of Chester Gap Baptist Church, as guest speaker.

Revival services will be held from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4 at 7:30 each evening. The evangelist will be Hoover Heflin, former pastor of Five Forks Baptist Church.

Special services at Gid Brown

Special services will be held at Gid Brown Bible Church near Washington on Oct. 5 and 6. Joe Boland, a state policeman from Hintyn, W.Va., will be preaching.

The Saturday evening service will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday services will include Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by morning worship at 11 a.m.

There will be special music, a nursery will be available and transportation can be arranged by calling 675-3662. The public is welcome.

Evangelists at Sperryville Assembly

Evangelists Randell and Darlene Atkins will present the Gospel in sermon and in song at the Sperryville Assembly of God Church in Sperryville. Services will be held from Sept. 29 through Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. A cordial invitation is extended to all.
