elects officers

The Piedmont Technical Education Center, Home Economics Related Occupations Chapter (HERO), elected chapter officiers at its fall rally at the Virginia State Fair in Richmond.

Karen Shanks and Rodney Taylor, both of Culpeper, were elected president and vice-president, respectively.

Brenda Jackson of Rappahannock County was elected as one of the group’s two secretaries, and Sherry Craft, also of Rappahannock, was elected historian.

Linda Bruce of Rappahannock was elected chairman of the Chapter Degree Committee and the Amissville resident placed second in the chapter’s “A.M. Class” of the poster/sign slogan competition held at the Culpeper School.

Brenda Jackson of Boston placed third in the “P.M. Class.”
