Or,” he said, “they serve about the same time,” he continued. “After everything grinds through the system, the end results don’t follow what the public would expect from its correctional system.” Farrar said almost everyone would agree that the system needs to be simplified, but he knows of no specific legislation to be introduced this year. “Usually, there’s at least one member in the General Assembly who will introduce a bill on parole every year, though,” Farrar said.
