Gunmen kill driver
RICHMOND — One man was killed and a second was injured when two men jumped into their car early Saturday, demanded money and then shot one of them and beat the other, police said.
Kennth Jones, 24, died at 4 a.m. at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, police said.
Ronald Bell, 22, was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital after being struck in the head with a gun.
Police said the two were riding in the car when the two gunmen got into the vehicle. Mr. Jones, who was driving, was shot in the head with a small caliber handgun.
He became the city’s 69th homicide victim this year.
