Henry Bryan Lillard, 88, of Amissville, died on Sept. 22 in Winchester Medical Center after a long illness. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a veteran of World War I. His wife was the late Ruth Murray Lillard and his parents were the late William H. and Sarah Nethers Lillard, of Rappahannock.

Mr. Lillard’s survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude L. Poling, of Amissville, and Mrs. Jean L. Crossman, of Culpeper; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral service was held on Sept. 25. The Rev. Floyd Binns officiated. Burial was in Crooked Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
