Customers of the Central Telephone Company will be receiving photos of children reported as missing with their third quarter issue of “Update,” the company’s newsletter.”
A toll-free number —1-800-1 AM LOST — will be included on the newsletter for those who indentify a child who appears on the missing children list.
The photos of missing children, according to Dale L. Cross, Central operations vice president, are being furnished by Child Find, a non-profit organization based in New Paltz, N.Y., which was founded in 1980 and found its first missing child in April 1981. To date, it has helped find more than 1,300 missing children.
