Winery seminar announced
The Virginia Vineyards Association will hold a one-day beginners’ seminar on grape growing on Saturday, May 31, from 9:30 until 3 p.m. at the Northern Virginia 4-H Education Center, south of Front Royal.
The program wUl include discussion on site and variety selection, costs, planting and care for young'vineyards. A tour will follow the program at nearby Linden Vineyards. The $2.50 fee includes handout literature. Bring your own lunch and a sharp pencil. For more information contact Jim or Peggy Law at (703)364-1997.
Last chance for camp
The Rappahannock Natural History Day Camp, to be held at Rock Mills in June, reminds all participants that this is the last week to enroll. The camp is open to children entering grades 3 through 5. To register, immediately contact the Child Care and Learning Center at 675-3237.
Spring festival scheduled
Spring Festival of Art, Craft, and Music will be held at the Swinging Bridge Pottery, Criglersville (Madison County), May 24-25, 10-6 daily.
