Chairman Hubert Gilkey announced this week that Rappahannock’s Board of Supervisors has hired a combination zoning administrator and administrative assistant to the board.
John W. McCarthy ill will assume the $22,000 a year post on June 16.
Mr. Gilkey stressed that the new man is not a “county administrator. . . The board members didn’t feel they wanted to go that route yet. They didn’t want to delegate that much authority.
