Homemakers

forum scheduled

On Wednesday, May 28, a public forum to address proposed recommendations that have been developed regarding the future direction of the Virginia Extension Homemakers Council organization will be held at the Rappahannock County Courthouse beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The purpose of the forum is to provide interested persons an opportunity to ask questions, discuss issues, make comments, or offer ideas concerning the recommendations. In addition to members of the Rappahannock Extension Homemakers organization, the general public is invited to attend. The forum will be led by Toni Updike, president of the EH County Council.

All who attend should be familiar with the proposed recommendations. Copies may be obtained from the Rappahannock Extension Office on Gay Street, Washington, or telephone the office at 675-3619. Persons who are unable to attend the forum, but who wish to submit input may do so by putting it in the form of a letter and sending it to Toni Updike, P.O. Box 119, Washington, Va. 22747, no later than May 28.

EH members throughout the state of Virginia will be participating in forums like this one and all input provided will be summarized and reviewed by a special Futures Committee. The committee will then prepare a report for presentation at the annual state meeting of the VEHC organization in July.
