Rodney plans to further his education at VPI after graduation. “I hope to major in aeronautical engineering and participate in the ROTC program. I’ll learn how to fly and then join the Air Force for a while. Then I’ll probably fly for a commercial airline.”
Dexter Freeman is the son of James and Charlotte Freeman of Washington.
“I’m looking forward to going to Boys’ State to see what it’s like. I think I’ll learn a lot about the government because I don’t know too much about it now,” he said.
Dexter’s plans include completion of college or business school. “I’m not sure what I’ll do after I graduate from college.”
“They were selected because we felt that they were the students who would represent the school well,” Mrs. Biggs said.
