Funeral services were conducted May 19 at the Moody Funeral Service Chapel by Ken Walters. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.

Chester Fannon Sr.

Chester William Fannon Sr., 85, of Castleton, died May 16 at Fauquier Hospital, following a sudden illness.

Mr. Fannon, son of the late Thomas J. Fannon and Rose Smith Fannon, was a native of Alexandria and had lived in Castleton for several years. He was chairman of the board of Thomas J. Fannon & Son, and was the oldest surviving member of the Old Dominion Boat Club.
