The following items requested by teachers and staff during the 1985-86 school year were supplied by the SPTA: a microscope for the sixth grade science department, $50 worth of playground equipment and classroom supplies for first and third grade classes, a newsroom computer program for the sixth grade’s publication of the school newspaper, and an ice crusher for the cafeteria.
Through a survey, the teachers expressed a need for help with running off duplicated items. Thereafter, the SPTA provided a “run-off’ service for the teachers throughout the year.
The association also provided dinner for the teachers on the Parent-Teacher conference nights in October and February'.
