Activities for the students’ enjoyment included four sock hops and a movie, The Shaggy D.A. The association also had a drawing for a Christmas stocking stuffed with goodies that was bigger than Dean Payne, the lucky winner.
The parents who attended the association’s meetings also helped to select a logo for the group and made decisions on the school sign which was erected May 18 in front of the school.
