Mrs. Anne Nicholls, bom in Kenmare, Ireland and a resident of Washington, D.C. visited her son Walter Nicholls at JCeyser Mountain Farm, on the occasion of her birthday, April 10th. She was accompanied by her nephew, James O’Shea, also a native of Kenmare and a resident of New York City. Mr. O’Shea, a restaurant consultant prepared a birthday luncheon.
Saturday luncheon guests of Mrs. Alice R. Wood at Sunnyside were Mrs. Russie Miller of Flint Hill and her granddaughter Miss Denise Howell of Richmond.
The Washington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Thrift Shop will re-open on Wednesday, April 15th. The Shop will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. til 3 p.m. Come out and shop with us, we have a lot of good items. Ruth Clark will be managing the shop on Wednesdays and Jean Alther will be there on Fridays.
Tuesday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark and family were Mrs. Louise Bennette of Gainesville and Mrs. Maryle Clark of Naples, Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. John Shipman and sons Mark and Ryan of College Park, Md. were Friday evening callers of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark and family. The Clarks weekend guests were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Slack at Baltimore, Md.
