CALL FOR RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY
REPUBLICAN MASS MEETING
I, C.H. Chrisman, Jr., Acting Chairman of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County, do hereby issue a call for a mass meeting of all members or prospective members of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County to be held at the Court House, Washington, Va., on Friday, April 24,1987 at 8:00 p.m. The purposes of the meeting are:
1. The election of (5) delegates and five (5) alternates to represent Rappahannock County at the 31st Legislative District Convention to be held at the Court House, Front Royal, Virginia on Thursday, May 21, 1987, at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to nominate a candidate for the House of Delegates from the District. No registration fee is required.
2. The election of five (5) delegates and five (5) alternates to represent Rappahannock County at the 26th Senatorial District Convention to be held at the Luray Inn, in Luray, Virginia on Thursday, June 4,1987, at 7:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to nominate a candidate for the Senate of Virginia from the District A registration fee of $5 is required.
3. The election of officers of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee.
4. The transaction of any other business that may properly come before the meeting. There will be a fee of $1 charged at the mass meeting, the proceeds of which help to defray the costs of the County Committee. All persons interested in being nominated as a delegate or alternate to either or both of the above conventions must file their intent in writing, together with the proper fees, with the Acting Unit Chairman prior to noon, April 23.1987. All legal and qualified voters of Rappahannock County, regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, or sex, under the Commonwealth of Virginia, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who express in open meeting, if requested, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, are invited to participate as members of the Republican Party at this mass meeting.
