The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service issued reminders to participants in its programs that filing dates for some ASCS programs are approaching.
Emergency Feed Program: Livestock producers who signed up for the Emergency Feed Program and were approved are reminded to present sale receipts or documents of purchases to the ASCS office as purchases are made. The feeding period ends April 30. Payment can be made only on feed purchased and consumed by April 30.
Report of Acreage: Participants in the Wheat and Feed Grain Program have until June 1 to report planted acres for fall and spring seeded small grains, July 15 for all other crops in order to be eligible for price support loans, deficiency payments and other benefits.
