The Bethel Baptist Church of Amissville will have the following activities on Easter Sunday: Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. with Rev. Fredrick Poles bringing the message. This will be followed by breakfast served by the deaconess. Also the Sunday School will have its Easter Egg roll.
All of this will be followed by regular church service with Holy Communion at 11 a.m. Rev. Carter Allsberry is pastor of Bethel Baptist. Everyone in welcome.
Pre-Easter service planned
There will be Pre-Easter service at the Hopewell Baptist in Sperryville, beginning Monday, April '13 and continuing through Friday, April 17. Speakers for the week include: Monday, Rev. R. W. Wallace; Tuesday, David Clanagan & The Free Spirit Singers; Wednesday, Rev. Rickey White; Thursday, Flint Hill Harmonizers; Friday, Rev. Aubrey Harris.
Sunrise Service will be held Sunday, April 19th at 6 a.m. with the Rev. U.S. Brokenburr as speaker. Breakfast will be served from 9:30 a.m. by the men of the church.
Sunrise service at Red Oak
The congregation of the Amissville, Forest Grove and Woodville Baptist Churches will join together to observe Easter Sunday with their traditional Easter Sunrise Service to be held at 6:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday on Red Oak Mountain near Woodville in Rappahannock County. The speaker for this year’s service will be the Rev. Sidney E. Rodriguez, pastor of the Forest Grove Baptist Church.
Immediately following the service the Forest Grove Baptist Church will serve breakfast to all worshippers wishing to attend. The breakfast will be served at the Forest Grove schoolhouse in Viewtown.
In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at the Forest Grove Baptist Church.
