NOTICE TO ALL VIRGINIA TELEPHONE CUSTOMERS The Virginia Telephone Association (VTA), on behalf of all Virginia local telephone companies, filed an application with the State Corporation Commission (SCC) asking that the SCC Investigate deregulating the billing and collection services that local telephone companies provide to long distance telephbnfe companies. ' .•••-•. For the most part, these services and the rates charged for them do not affect telephone customers. However, the issue of terminating a customer's local telephone service for failure to pay a long distance bill will be considered In this Investigation. Customers may wish to present their views on this. Comments on this Issue should be submitted no later than June 1,1987, and should be addressed to George W.
