The Culpeper Minute Men NSDAR met April 14 at Culpeper United Methodist Church, Mrs. Douglas Fairfax, Regent, presiding.
Mrs. Dieter Knuepfer introduced Mrs. Lewis B. Johnson of the DAR speakers staff, who spoke on the NSDAR Centenniel Jubilee. The Daughters of the American Revolution will be celebrating 100 years in 1990-91.
They are now in the process of “Planning the Party.” During the next few years they will be researching on how to celebrate, how to get it started, leading up to a fantastic celebration.
The original membership of 18 grew to 818 by the end of the first year, and now totals 212,000. They are now accumulating information and data on descendants of the first 18 members. They have also set up a rescue committee pleading for old and dated DAR information from its members. A film entitled “Portrait of a Daughter” is being introduced
