the race. Aid stations are set up at three points along the course (11/2,3 and 4 miles) and the course is patrolled by more than 100 race marshals.
The race is electronically timed by a professional crew with computerized results available. Runners also will be provided with splits at the aid stations. Starting time for the race is 11:30 a.m.
The field for the event is expected to top 500 runners with the vast majority of participants falling into the novice category. Sponsored by The Winchester Star, the Apple Blossom 10K has an entry fee of $10 for late entrants. The first 600 applicants to pay the registration fee will receive a race T-shirt.
