Clifton Clark, Misty Hitt and Victor Taylor of Rixeyville returned home on Sunday after attending the Southeastern Night Foxhound Field , Trial held at the Elm Hill Wildlife Reserve at Boydton. From 306 foxhounds competing in the two-night event, only 10 winners were chosen. Red Oak Little Margaret, a foxhound owned by Clifton Clark, placed ninth while Woodville Cliff, a hound raised at Red Oak Kennels, placed sixth. The local group were guests of A. A. LeGrand who won the event, receiving more than $1,000 in cash and awards.
Guests Sunday of Mrs. Ada Burke were Edward Grigsby and son Paul of Flint Hill, Mrs. Edna Woodward, Tabitha, John and Jeffery Woodward of Castleton and Don Biggerstaff of Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. Buster Hitt visited Mrs. Virginia Jenkins at Rose Hill Nursing Home in Berryville Saturday.
Kim Settle of Flint Hill was a dinner guest Saturday evening of Patsy and Jo Vest at Aberdeen Barn in Culpeper.
