District Garden
Club meets
At the Spring District meeting held April 9th in Woodstock, the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. installed Mrs. G. N. Funkhouser Jr. as President of Shenandoah District. The installing officer was Mrs. Charles T. Moses Jr. State President of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs. Also installed were Mrs. Joseph Nordone from Washington as Secretary-Director and Mrs. C. Thomas Callender of Harrisonburg as Treasurer-Director.
Mrs. Funkhouser is a member of the Cedar Run Garden Club, Catlett. She has served on the District Board as Scrapbook Chairman, Publicity Chairman, Flower Show School Chairman and as SecretaryDirector. She is nationally Accredited Flower Show Judge and is presently serving as Convention Chairman for the V.F.G.C. Inc. State Convention which will be held at the Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia May 4-6.
