Competitors age 55 and older will vie for gold, silver and bronze medals in more than 25 sports categories dining the Virginia events. Among the activities are tennis, golf, running, walking, swimming, cycling, softball hit and throw, basketball, ten pin bowling, track and field, riflery, table tennis, jump rope and badminton. Less strenuous activities include billiards, bridge, canasta, checkers, croquet, fish casting, frisbee throw, horseshoes, and miniature golf.
A variety of social activities is planned as part of the weekend, including a barbecue dinner, casino night/wine and cheese party, a dance, and historic and mall tours.
