In observance of National Hospital Week, May 10-16, Warren Memorial Hospital will sponsor a Community Health Fair May 16 at the Raymond E. Santmyers Youth Center, with screenings from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Health Fair will start off with the Warren Memorial Challenge Bed Race, beginning at 10 a.m. The race will be held in the vicinity of Bing Crosby Stadium and the Youth Center. Competition is strong between the participating hospitals. Registered at this time are Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital, Woodstock, Winchester Medical Center, Page Memorial Hospital, Luray, and Warren Memorial Hospital.
The Warren Memorial Challenge Cup will be presented to the winning hospital to be held by them until it is won by another hospital.
The screens and exhibits will open at 11 a.m. and remain open until 4 p.m. for the convenience of the people in the surrounding area.
Free nutritional refreshments will be served throughout the day.
WFTR will broadcast by remote from the Youth Center.
