County finances comprised a
large part of the business of the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors at the May meeting held Friday. The grand total of the proposed budget for 1967-68 which was submitted by the budget committee totaled $674,743. This is an increase of $98,657 over the previous year. The proposed budget was carefully examined and minor revisions made. The budget will be published and a public hearing held at the June board meeting before it can be officially adopted.

The fifth annual horse show
sponsored by Amissville Ruritan Club will be held Saturday, May 13, beginning at 9 a.m. The show ring is located on the Amissville carnival grounds on Route 211 just west of Amissville. The show will feature both English and Western classes and cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded.
