against Warren County, the Wakefield girls stomped their visiting opponents 8-1. In the singles matches the top three seeds, Bentley, McAllister and Yeaman, all had close matches but came out on top. In the lower seeds, Tarr, Maeyer and duFrane all gained easy victories.,, The \ doubles matches went a little'TeH smoothly for the Owls, as Bentley and Tarr lost their match 3-8. But, Heidi Maeyer and Elizabeth duFrane won 8-2 while Nicole Maeyer and Townley Mailler won their doubles 8-0.
In their first away match, facing Jefferson County again on April 27, the Wakefield squad squeaked to a close victory, 6-2. They captured all the singles matches except two. All the other matches went smoothly, although the number three doubles match was scratched due to time and inclement weather.
Still undefeated, the Wakefield team took on Highland School in Warrenton on April 30. The Lady Owls maintained their string of victories with a 6-3 win over Highland.
