I agree with the many people who feel that spring is one of file prettiest times of the year. After a cold winter, with short days, the warmth of spring and its increasing daylight hours are a welcome respite.
Most people seem to be overcome with an urge to get outside, clean up the yard, possibly plant a garden. For many, there is also an increase in physical activities and sports.
Every spring it seems I hear people talking about how busy they are. An increase in activities combined with already flill schedules sets people up to experience stress.
There are two kinds of stress. Good stress, called eustress, can be . a positive building force. On the other hand bad stress, known as distress, is a destructive force. The effects of bot^h are cumulative, that is, • it all adds-up. Hie effects of both on our physical, bodies are also the same.
In fact, the definition of stress is "a non-specific response of the mind and body to any change or adjustment.”
