Holschuhs to share Color slides of New Zealand, taken during a trip in March, will be shown by Helen and Howdy Holschuh at 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church on Route 522 at Scrabble. The Holschuhs’ itinerary included the port city of Auckland, the glow-worm cave, and the town of Rotorua, with its geo-thermal park - on the North Island. They also saw some spectacular scenery on New Zealand’s South Island, including the resort community of Queenstown nestled on a lake amid the Remarkables Mountains, with nearby gold mining dreges, and exciting jet boat rides captured on the Shotover ' River, plus a cruise on Milford Sound. Other views include majestic Mt. Cook at sunrise, the flower gardens of Christ Church and a close-up look at the sheep and wool industry. The slide presentation will be preceded by a covered dish supper ; beginning at 7 p.m. in the Mt. Leb• anon fellowship hall. Friends and neighbors are in‘ vited to view the slides and also to ' come early for the supper if they wish, said Pastor John Warren.
