lo the editor:

I would like to take a moment to thank all the parents and children who made the RCES Fun Fair a success! First let me say that this is proof that we can pull together as a community and support our only public elementary school.

On a weekend when we had to compete with the Apple Blossom Festival, Gold C%>, etc., etc., we managed to gross $3,334 for the elementary school PTA, which will be used in efforts to support our school and children.

If the citizens of this county wish to see new things for our school, and not raise taxes, this is how to do it. This is also an example to our children that in order to get something we must be able to give something.

Now a special thanks to Linda Mallory who co-chaired this event with me, to Maggie and Kenny Rogers and their children who came up with some great ideas, to Chris and Jamie Hoffman, Eric and Celena. Good going, guys; it could not have been done without you. Pat Foster, where did Camille get a great guy like that?

Shelly Dennis, Becky, Bemie and Hunter Foster, Beth and Sam Conrad, Linda Welk and her husband, Deborah Flinchum, Larry Settle, Pat Mullen and many more too numerous to mention — all of these people manned their stations all day. Cindy Andreoni was our artistic poster person. Thanks also to
