Mrs. Linda Butler entertained Mrs. George Butler and Mrs. Cary Thornhill Sunday at Country Cookin in Culpeper. Later they, visited the patients from our area ih the hospital, as well as George Butler Sr., Mrs. Lucy Thornhill and Mrs. Rosa Pierce at Culpeper Health Care Center.
Harriet Wood of Dun-Loo kin Farm received a 500-hour certificate during the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s annual awards dinner Thursday evening, when pins and certificates were presented.
Mrs. Emily Durant has this cute little “piggy” story she’d like to report. “Mr. and Mrs. Pullen, tenants on The Hill farm, bought two 10week-old baby pigs and placed them in the pen. Sometime during the night, these two little pigs escaped and went back home to Mama, a mile and a half away. What a lesson; hogs are not so dumb after all!”
Mr. and Mrs. David Bates of Arlington were at Range View during the weekend.
Mrs. Edna Kling, Mrs. Lucy Bailey and Ms. Brooke Jones were all winners in the artistic crescent arrangements of spring flowers when the Salem Garden Club met recently.
