Pre-measurement

“Farmers who use pre-measurement service before planting their spring crops will be guaranteed that their field sizes are accurate for the 1967 program year,” said Linda
P. Henry, county executive director of the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.
Pre-measuring is recommended because it assures fanners that they are in compliance with acreage reduction requirements, and eliminates worry over the loss of farm program benefits.
ASCS offers pre-measurement at cost. The service includes measuring, referencing and marking out fields with stakes before planting.
