with the first DPT shot and polio drops. This is a series which takes several months. The MMR (mumps, measles, rubella) shot is given at 15 months. The Hib shot against bacterial meningitis is given to two-yearolds, or children older than 18 months who are in day-care settings. Those children are at a great risk for exposure.
