Sometimes we need more than a shoulder to cry on. If someone you love needs psychiatric care, CMH is ready to help with a team of skilled professionals.

Located on a wing of the hospital, the Behavioral Medicine Unit is a small inpatient unit which offers a comprehensive treatment program for adults with emotional problems.

In the pleasant, home-like environment of a secluded department, patients find the privacy and compassion they want. In a program of therapy tailored for the individual, they find the treatment they need. The staff considers each patient's personal situation as they design a specialized program to promote independence and productivity. Because therapy in one’s own community creates the opportunity for family support, it is an economical option that encourages recovery and minimizes family trauma. Uninterrupted therapy during the transition from inpatient to outpatient care is another advantage of treatment close to home.

A private entrance is provided exclusively for patients and family members, and Culpeper Memorial Hospital's comprehensive medical and diagnostic resources are immediately accessible.
