A recent local article cited our institution for its fine record in controlling hospital-acquired infections and compared our performance to others. Representatives from a state review organization that evaluates our utilization trends with other hospitals has cited us as a model of how things should be done. In terms of the cost of healthcare services, which no doubt weighs heavily on everyone’s pocketbook, CMH again has been able to provide services to our patients at a cost far less than those of comparable facilities. Truly, I would not suggest we are perfect, but I am proud and hope that the community is proud that we indeed have an enviable record.
