Miller named Minority Whip
State Senator Kevin G. Miller of Harrisonburg, who represents Rappahannock County in the Virginia ^Senate, was elected as the party's Minority Whip last week following the retirement of Sen. Wiley F. Mitchell Jr. Traditionally, the “whip" is the member of the caucus who is charged with organizing the caucus members in support or opposition to legislation, and is responsible for seeing that they are present at roll call votes and ^ other important occasions. “This is a great personal honor for me," Sen. Miller said of his selection.
