A righteous attitude
Sometimes, we despair of Rappahannock County going the way of our neighbor counties to the east; getting wrapped up in the process of government and forgetting that government is made up of people, with feelings and who (mostly) have a sens! of humor.
But just about that time, something happens which reminds us that Rappahannock County still has a certain spirit of community. Several weeks ago, it was Bill Frizzell, the new owner of the Hampton Inn telling the Board of Supervisors that he is willing to continue to provide food for the jail’s inmates while the county builds a kitchen at the jail. Although he really doesn’t want to do it, Mr. Frizzell said, he’s willing to help the county out of a tight spot.
