After^rying without success to muster a quorum at its last several scheduled meetings, Washington’s Planning Commission got four members together Tuesday.
The four, Chairman William Wickens, Vice Chairman Bill Frizzell and recent appointees Mitzie Younp and Louise Vandort, wasted no time in moving the commission into action.
Reviewing a proposed ordinance amendment which would increase the size of the town’s Architectural Review Board from three members to five, the members found they differed on the advisability of the change.
ARB Secretary Jim Thomasson, who attended the meeting as a spectator, noted that his impending move out of town will mean his resignation from the board. “I don’t know where you’re going to get two — actually three — more members.” Given the town’s small population, Mr. Thomasson questioned the need for more members.
