It has come to my attention that some memberfs) of the Town Planning Commission may be locking the front door of the Courthouse at the conclusion of your meetings by depressing one of the buttons in the doorframe
As seems typical with old mechanics, the lock mechanism that this button engages Is for the Interior lock, which Is different from the exterior. In sum, with that lock engaged, we must enter the Courthouse through another entrance, l.e. the Commissioner of Accounts Office In the rear (Preliminary efforts at changing the lock have been met by much handwringing and head-shaking on the part of the locksmith community, accompanied by comments to the effect of, "They don't make 'em like that any more," and "Oh, you've got one of those!")
As you may Imagine, this Is somewhat inconvenient, so I would be pleased If you could Inform the Commission of the lamentable state of our front door lock If, when you leave the building In the future, a member of the Commission would so Inform the Sheriff's Office, It will be secured for the evening
