Jesus never said that joining a church would make you a Christian. He never said that being baptized would make you a Christian. He said in Mark 16:16, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.” Even doing good works does not make you a Christian. Ephesians 2:8 & 9 says, “For by grace are you saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of WORKS, lest any man should boast. None of thes things will make you a Christian.
What does, God require for us to become a Christian, a child of His? John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them surrender our life to him. Romans 10:9 & 10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. So we see from these verses what it means to be a Christian.
I pray that if you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Saviour, you will consider these things I’ve shared with you. This is the most important decision you will ever make because it determines your eternal destiny. After you read this article, you can pray and ask Jesus Christ into your heart and He will come in. He will give you his life and his love and peace, and cleanse you from your sins.
