Ability to: read and understand written instructions; plan, layout, instruct and supervise the work, of skilled, semi-skilled, and manual labor; keep accurate records of costs and progress; meet the public; work within budgets; operate light and medium duty highway equipment. Must be physically able to perform heavy manual labor. Willingness to be sworn in as a peace officer to supervise convict labor. Valid Virginia Operator's license and safety shoes required in the performance of the above duties. Graduation from high school or equivalent and experience related to highway construction and maintenance work, or a combination of experience and training which provides the preceding knowledge, skills and abilities.

SALARY: $16,586 - $22,655 (Grade 7) ?
