Treat your heart for Valentine s

The Rappahannock County Health Department will sponsor a “Be Good to Your Heart” fair on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Rappahannock County Extension Office and The Plains Pharmacy will also be participating. Blood pressure checks, random glucose testing, information about reducing stress, “Healthy Heart” diets and weight reduction will be offered. Information on exercise and how to quit smoking will also be available. All of the above are free. Serum cholesterol screening will be offered for a $5.50 fee and results are available within five minutes. Health and fitness days

Warren Memorial Hospital and Crooked Run Racquet and Fitness Center will sponsor Health and Fitness Days Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27 and 28 at the fitness center.

The event, which will be open to the public, will be held Friday, noon-6 p.m. and Saturday morning, 8 a.m.-noon. The Racquet Ball Court at the Center will be the main room for the circuit of tests.
