The lead flip-flopped the rest of the half but RCHS had the final flip and led 31-27 going into intermission. Still, the Panthers were a cold 36 percent from the field, connecting on just 11 of 30 shots.
Starting the second half the Panthers’ two big men. Porter and Smith, each had three fouls. This gave the Eagles extra room under the basket for Cary Bartlett, who snatched the lead back 35-34.
