CCLC is looking for a few more karate students for an afterschool class being held on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The cost for the 12 sessions is $65. Transit system hearing
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center will hold a public hearing on Friday, Feb. 10 at i p.m. to seek input and comments on its applications for continued funding for its Transit System through UMTA Section 18. This hearing will be conducted at the Center’s offices, 401 South Main Street, Culpeper.
Republican candidate to visit
Front Royal businessman Ronnie S. Gilliam will visit Rappahannock County on Saturday, Jan. 28 to announce his candidacy for the 31st District House seat being vacated by Del. Andy Guest. Mr. Gilliam will be at the courthouse at 3 p.m. and the county’s Republican committee invites the public to come and meet the candidate.
Tryouts for4-H show
The annual 4-H Share-the-Fun Show will be held Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Gay Street Theatre in Washington. Screening for this program will be held on Monday, Feb. 6, at 3:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Any youths grades K-12 will be eligible. Performers will be grouped according to age and type of act. The 4-H Teen Club is sponsoring a raffle to raise funds to rent the theatre for the show. The prize is 10 hours of labor donated by Teen Club members. Only 250 tickets will be sold. For information about the raffle or the show call the Extension Office (675-3619).
